Gymshark is an athletic wear brand out of the UK. It's become more popular in North America through YouTube fitness celebrities like Whitney Simmons. She even has a collaboration with them. I've been eyeing their products for a while but was concerned about sizing, shipping time and returns. They recently expanded their return policy to 90 days and my gym wardrobe has been needing a refresh, so I picked up a haul of items!
I purchased 5 items, totalling just over $215. I bought 2 pairs of tights, 1 pair of sweat pants and 2 crop tops. I'm usually a lululemon size 6 and Nike size medium in bottoms and size small in tops. I bought a medium in all bottoms and a small in tops.
Flex High Waisted Leggings - $70
The flex high waisted leggings are nice and thick. They are a very stretchy but absorbent material and really perfect for winter. I like that they are thick and have a good amount of compression. They don't slide down and stay pretty snug. I can't think of another brand that makes this type of legging. The fit and material are pretty unique to the brand. These are the perfect leggings for squats, lunges, spin, running and pretty much any athletic activity.
Pippa Training Jogger - $45
The price point on these is really great. I bought these joggers more for lounging around at home and the occasional trip to the garbage room or mailroom. The material is on the thinner side which helps them fall in place well. They are designed to fit more snug and I think I should have sized down. I bought a medium and they are comfortable, but the style of jogger is not as apparent as they are a bit loose in the areas they should be fitted. I would recommend sizing down. They are not very warm unfortunately, but would be good for working out or wearing in the spring/summer.
Training Leggings - $40
These state they are for training, but I think they are more lounging leggings. They don't really have any compression and do slide down. They are super soft though and similar to the lululemon align leggings that feel like butter. These feel the same way. At $50, they are half the price of the lululemon aligns and very good value. They are very comfortable.
Vital Seamless Long Sleeve Crop Top - $50
This is a great top for running, spin or the gym in the spring/summer. It has thumb holes and fits very snug. The material is very different from the flex and training leggings. It does have compression but is a much thiner material that would be really good for cardio. The fit in the shoulders on the small is a bit tight for me, so I might return the small I bought for a medium.
Fraction Crop Top - $30
This was my favourite item out of the haul. It has cute cuffed sleeves and just the right amount of ventilation when working out. I do workout with a mask and find I get extra warm. This top is perfect for letting in a bit of air, while still keeping my upper body warm in the colder months. I think this is a versatile piece that can be worn for all athletic activities as well as year round.
Overall, I am quite happy with my haul and how the items are performing so far. I think I may place another Gymshark order in the future. I am excited to see how they items perform over time and test the level of quality. In terms of price point, I think the items are priced fairly and I hear the sales are also quite good. Have you tried Gymshark? What's your favourite athletic brand?
